TEHRAN (FNA) - Head of Iran-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group Hamid Reza Haji Babaei Tuesday underlined further expansion and consolidation of ties between the two countries.
In a message of congratulation to his Brazilian counterpart Waldier Collater, Haji Babaei felicitated the Latin nation's National Day.
Haji Babaei further pointed to the significant role of the two countries' ties in world relations and affairs, and stressed preparedness of his parliamentary friendship group to bolster and strengthen bilateral all-out ties and cooperation between the two nations.
Earlier in March, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in Brasilia that Iranian and Brazilian officials are seriously determined to expand mutual ties.
""A new chapter has begun in Iran-Brazil relations, showing the two sides have strong political will to take more giant and better steps towards bolstering bilateral relations,"" Mottaki stated.
