First gem cutting plant inaugurated

SEMNAN, Semnan prov. – The first gem cutting and polishing plant of Iran was put into operation in the city of Shahroud, Semnan Province, on Thursday.

According to Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, the factory has been commissioned at the cost of 12 trillion rials ($1.2 million) and, creating jobs for 50 individuals
