Deputy culture minister visits Tehran Times
TEHRAN – Deputy Culture Minister Mohammad Ali Ramin visited the Tehran Times office on Tuesday and held talks with reporters and managing director Parviz Esmaeili. The newly appointed deputy minister said he intends to have more interaction with the media. Ramin added he will help those media outlets who observe ethics and promote ideas that would lead to upgrading the welfare and security of citizens. Ramin also insisted on reviving the basic Islamic principles, saying Imam Khomeini employed Quranic terms and in this way captured the minds and hearts of the people and founded the Islamic Revolution. Ramin also said the Iranian media have been on defensive as the Western media outlets have a created a monopoly for themselves by employing terms such as democracy, human rights and freedom, ideology, etc. PA/GJ END MN
