Heads of three branches of government meet

TEHRAN – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, and Judiciary Chief Sadeq Larijani met here on Sunday.

It was the first meeting between the heads of three branches of government since the start of Ahmadinejad’s second term in office.

The most important national issues were featured at the talks between the three senior officials, reports said.

Justice Minister Morteza Bakhtiari said the meeting was aimed at discussing and proposing solutions to the problems facing the people.

Such meetings primarily address issues which require consultations between the heads of all the three government branches in order to be resolved, Bakhtiari noted
