TEHRAN - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani pledged on Tuesday that the legislature will lend more support to the country’s missile industry by enhancing the budget allocated for the industry in the 6th quinquennial development program.

In a visit to an Islamic Revolution Guards Corps missile defense base, Larijani admired the IRGC’s missile capabilities, describing the progress made in the field as the “most effective deterrence” against threats and a factor behind peace and security in Iran and the region,.

The IRGC’s scientific and technological advances have unnerved the enemies, Tasnim quoted him as saying.
