Iran-Kuwait Trade Volume Rose to $600m

QESHM, Hormuzgan Prov. - Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tehran Abdullah Abdulaziz al-Dawikh said here on Wednesday that volume of commercial transactions between Iran and Kuwait has risen to $600 million from the $120 million three years ago. Al-Dawikh, who made the remark after his visit of Qeshm Free Trade Zone, said the main items imported by Kuwait from Iran within the period had been carpets, pistachios, fruits and vegetables, while Kuwait's exports to Iran have been electronics, chemical fertilizers and machinery.

He added that Qeshm Free Trade Zone is highly suitable for investments in view of its strategic position and that his government is exploring ways of benefiting from the zone's potentials. (IRNA)
