FM Spokesman: Insulting Religious Beliefs Violation of Human Rights

TEHRAN Spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry here Sunday said insult to the sacred beliefs of followers of religions is a symbol of violation of the rights of humans. The Iranian Foreign Ministry official who was speaking on the eve of a drama in New York theaters which insults Jesus Christ said the Islamic Republic considers such acts as trespass on the rights of the human beings and a threat to world security.

He said dialogue between religions and civilizations promotes peace and friendship between nations whereas insult to the beliefs of nations will pit them against each other. (IRNA)
