ABU DHABI Iran's Consul General to Jeddah Mohammad Baqer Vahdatnejad and Jeddah's new Mayor Nosayyef on Sunday reviewed further expansion of Tehran-Riyadh ties. Referring to development projects launched in the past few years in Iranian cities, Tehran in particular, Vahdatnejad invited Nosayyef to visit Iran to become familiar with the many achievements of Tehran Municipality. Welcoming the invitation, the Jeddah mayor expressed hope that he will travel to Tehran in the near future.

Referring to expanding bilateral relations following the visit to Tehran of Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah ibn Abd al-Aziz as-Saud and the visit to Saudi Arabia of Head of Iran's Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Nosayyef hoped that Tehran-Riyadh relations will grow stronger. (IRNA)
