TEHRAN The Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mahmoud Mohammadi, here on Wednesday criticized the ``unconstructive behavior'' by some argentine officials towards Iran, adding that continuation of such behavior would draw serious reaction from the Iranian government. ``We have lodged protests, via our consul general, with the Argentine Foreign Ministry concerning the baseless accusations by some Argentine officials,'' Mohammadi said. He further rejected the allegation that the Islamic Republic has not cooperated with the Argentine government in its investigation of the past problems.
``The Argentine officials might have forgotten that their foreign minister expressed satisfaction with the stands adopted by the Islamic Republic of Iran. ``However, we have not forgotten that subsequently we submitted documents to Argentine authorities proving fraudulent activities by a CUN man residing in the U.S. by the name of Motamer, who had toyed with the judge looking into the case.
``Very soon, we realized that Zionist circles are taking advantage of our good will. Now we caution the Argentine government not to be deceived by other CUN men and to demand evidence from anybody who levels charges against Iran.'' Noting the appointment of a new judge for the highly publicized case, Mohammadi criticized the Argentine government for allowing to be influenced by the Zionist circles' propaganda in the country.
