TEHRAN Chairman of the Expediency Council of Iran Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Saturday that Basij, the volunteer forces have spread the spirit of sacrifice and devotion to the entire country. Addressing the seventh graduation ceremony of the faculty of science and technology, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said Basij is a sacred force proving to be a very effective establishment especially in the course of the sacred defence.

It is a sacred experience for the history of the Islamic Revolution and a blessing bestowed upon us by the Almighty God, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said. (IRNA)
