TEHRAN Managing Director of the museums of Mostazafan and Janbazan Foundation, Mohammad Reza Javaheri, told reporters that the foundation has joined the Paris-based independent international association of museums (ICOM). He said that ICOM renders great services to its members, adding that these services include presentation of the latest information about museums in the world in the form of book, magazine, brochures and training of experts; and information exchange between museums and organizing specialized gatherings.

Highlighting the activities of the foundation's general department of museums, he said the department launched its activities in 1995 and has so far organized two permanent exhibitions called the exhibition of money and the exhibition of history. Javaheri said efforts are in progress to set up exhibition of the press and exhibition of vehicles, adding that specialized libraries have been created in the museums of the Mostazafan and Janbazan Foundation to meet the needs of researchers and visitors.
