IEPO Head Inspects Natural History Museum

TEHRAN Vice President and Head of Iran's Environment Protection Organization Masoumeh Ebtekar said here on Monday that Natural History Museum of Iran would be inaugurated by the year end on March 20, 1999. Ebtekar, who made the remark after inspecting the Natural History Museum located at the Environment Protection Organization, told IRNA that more than 70,000 species of animals, plants and fossils are kept at the natural history museum.

She said that her organization plans to set up several natural history museums and exhibitions throughout the country. She added that about Rls.1 billion has been spent so far to establish Iran's Natural History Museum on a 32,000 square meter plot of lands at Pardisan Park. (IRNA)
