Lightning Kills Shepherd Girl, 15 Sheep ---Sahne :- Twenty-five kilometers from the town of Sahne in the village of Halan Khodabandeloo, a 15 year-old shepherd girl Fattaneh Khani, who was busy tending her flock of sheep was killed along with 15 sheep when they were struck by lightning, at a distance of just 200 meters from the village. A bizarre twist of fate! --- Runaway Train Wagons Give Anxious Moments to Passengers A passenger train on its way to Tehran from the town of Andimeshk meets with a (you guessed it right!) bizarre accident when suddenly seven of its passenger filled coaches detached minus the locomotive and three other wagons which continued with their onward journey unmindful of the detachment of the seven wagons.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident which occurred close to a railway station near Andimeshk. The panic-stricken passengers of the detached coaches, aware of the dangers facing them, huddled under their luggages hoping to lessen the impact of any collision or derailment, which luckily did not happen. The runaway wagons finally came to a halt on an even stretch of railway tracks close to a bend.

The cause of this freak incident was allegedly the carelessness of the railway staff who had not bolted the wagons properly. The wagons were reattached to another locomotive which took the passengers to Tehran after a few hours of delay of course. Bon voyage - but keep your fingers crossed!
