TEHRAN Legal status of non-governmental women organizations is due to be discussed here today at a joint meeting of representatives from non-government organizations (NGOs) and government officials who grant registration to such organizations. The one-day meeting, sponsored by the Centre for Women Participation Affairs in Presidential office, aims at increasing legal participation and coordination among the NGOs and designing proper strategies in this regard.

Bolstering the activities of NGOs and increasing the level of knowledge of managers of women NGOs are also included in the agenda of the meeting.
