Foreign Minister Arrives in Colombia To Attempt NAM Meet

NEW YORK, United Nations Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi arrived in Colombia Monday evening to attend the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Kharrazi is to discuss bilateral cooperation as well as key regional and international developments with top-ranking Colombian officials and his counterparts from other countries on the sidelines of the NAM meet, to be held in Cartagena. International financial issues and problems, reform in structure of the UN Security Council, terrorism, environment, human rights and narcotics will top the agenda of the meeting.
The Cartagena session is the last meeting of NAM foreign ministers under the chairmanship of Colombia. South Africa will take over chairmanship of NAM next year. (IRNA)
