Judiciary Chief: People Should Remain Vigilant Against Plots

AHVAZ, Khuzestan Province Head of the Judiciary Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi said here Monday night that people should always maintain their vigilance in order to thwart plots of the enemies. Ayatollah Yazdi made the remark while attending the meeting of Administrative Council of Khuzestan Province Monday night. He added that if security officials neglect their duties for only two days, enemies will plunder the country.

Expressing satisfaction over the city's flourishment, the Judiciary chief said progress and development in the country is the result of sovereignty of Islam and efforts of administrators. Meanwhile, Governor General of Khuzestan Ahmad Khorram briefed Ayatollah Yazdi on cultural, political and security issues in the province. Later, Ayatollah Yazdi told reporters that cases of heinous crimes will be studied in the shortest period of time, reminding that such cases were very few.

He said that with the opening of the Bureau for Women's Affairs at Ahvaz Justice Department, there will be close cooperation between the bureau and the commission on women's affairs for solving family problems. During his one-day stay in Ahvaz, the Judiciary head inaugurated the appeals courts of Khuzestan Province. (IRNA)
