Kuwaiti FM Withdraws Resignation

KUWAIT Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmed al-Sabah rejected his foreign minister's offer to resign Tuesday and ordered him to continue his work. Sheikh Jaber told Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah to continue his responsibilities and duties, the state-run Kuwaiti news agency reported. The Al-Anba newspaper reported Monday that Sheikh Sabah had submitted his resignation citing differences with the prime minister. Officials have refused to confirm or deny that Sheikh Sabah had offered to resign and the agency report did not refer to a resignation.
