TEHRAN Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi will pay a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates on Saturday on a diplomatic mission to hold talks on the misunderstanding between Iran and UAE over the three islands of Abu Mussa and the Greater and Lesser Tunbs. The three islands are located near key shipping lanes at the Strait of Hormuz. Tankers carrying one third of the world's oil exports pass through the narrow channel each day.

Kharrazi will meet UAE President Sheikh Zaid bin Sultan al-Nahayan and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, his son Sheikh Hamdan bin Zaid al-Nahayan, a UAE official said. We keep our fingers crossed an open mind, open heart and crossed fingers, one UAE source said.
