Habibi, Kharrazi Felicitate Azeri Officials on Independence Day

BAKU Iran's First Vice President Hassan Habibi on Tuesday cabled a message to Azeri Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, felicitating him on anniversary of Azerbaijan's Independence Day. In the message, Habibi congratulated the Azeri government as well as their noble nation on the occasion. The first vice president also expressed hope the current level of relations between the two neighbouring and Muslim countries would further expand.

In a separate message, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamal Kharrazi sent a similar message to his Azeri counterpart Tofik Zukfugarov to felicitate him and the noble nation of Azerbaijan on the same occasion. In his message, the Iranian minister expressed hope that the Tehran-Baku ties would promote through bilateral cooperation and based on mutual respects. (IRNA)
