TEHRAN The Domestic Press Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance issued a strong written warning against Gozaresh-e Rouz, a Persian daily here Wednesday on an account of publishing a picture and a headline contrary to Islamic norms of decency and value. The picture and the headline had appeared on Monday, May 25, 1998. According to the report released by the department, the deep regret of the ministry was conveyed to the managing director of Gozaresh-e Rouz daily for having carried out such a picture and a headline.

Further the managing director had been admonished to observe social norms and values. The managing director of the daily pledged to stay within the prescribed norms. (IRNA)
