    Third week of horse-riding competition was held in Ahvaz, capital of southwestern province of Khuzestan on Friday. A total of seven Iranian provinces took part in the competition. Persian horses have a good temperament, together with great stamina. They are sure footed and extremely intelligent.     Christian parent commemorates martyred son

    TEHRAN - Robert Lazar was an Iranian-Christian martyred during the Iraqi invasion of Iran (1980-1988). Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei paid a visit on December 27, 2015, to the home of the martyr.     TEHRAN — Iranian Turkmen are an ethnic community living in Turkmen Sahra region which includes northern and northeastern parts of the country, mainly Golestan, North Khorasan, and Khorasan Razavi provinces. Turkmen wedding ceremonies are flamboyant, eye-catching and filled with authentic traditional customs preserved and passed down from generation to generation. Turkmen consider marriage as an important social and economic dimension to their lives. They believe marriage and child bearing would make their families and tribes more powerful.
