TEHRAN -- The Rira Gallery in Dubai is currently playing host to an exhibition of paintings and photos by two Iranian artists.

The month-long show, which opened on Saturday, has put on display Hooman Derakhshandeh’s painting collection “The Mysterious Presence”, and Melika Shafahi’s photo collections “Tehran” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes”.

The Rira Gallery is an art space that represents contemporary artists from the Middle East. The gallery aims to provide a platform for artists to develop their talents.

The Rira Gallery was launched in May 2012 with a group exhibition “Respect to Time” representing works by a selection of young, emerging Iranian artists along with established international names.
