Swiss theaters host “Modest Reception”

TEHRAN – The Iranian movie “Modest Reception” directed by Mani Haqiqi made its European premiere in several theaters in Switzerland on September 16.
 
Theaters in Zug, Baden, Basel, Bern, Zuoz and Zurich are currently screening the film, which is being distributed in the country by Switzerland’s Trigon-Film Foundation.
 
The film’s screenings will continue until October 11.
 
Director/actor Haqiqi and actress Taraneh Alidusti have traveled to Switzerland to promote the film. They will also attend a number of Q&A sessions.
 
“Modest Reception” will screen in Iran in autumn by Hedayat Film, an Iranian distributer.
 
The film is about a well-situated couple, Leila and Kaveh, who drive through the mountains distributing plastic bags full of money to every poor and unfortunate person they meet. 
 
The film won the NETPAC Prize at the Berlin Film Festival in 2012 and the stars of the film won the best actor and actress awards at 12th Osian’s Cinefan Film Festival in New Delhi in 2012. 
 
Saeid Changizian, Esmaeil Khalaj, Saber Abar, Naqi Seifjamali, Nader Fallah, Mohammadreza Najafi and Qorban Najafi are other members of the cast.
 
The Trigon-Film Foundation will also screen Asghar Farhadi’s acclaimed film “About Elly” on September 23 in Zurich.
 
Haqiqi and Alidusti are also among the main members of the cast for “About Elly”.
