Iranian graphic designer receives honorable mention at Polish biennale

TEHRAN -- The Iranian graphic designer Mehdi Saeidi has received an honorable mention at the International Socio-Political Poster Biennale in Auschwitz, Poland.
 
Saeidi won the honor for his poster “Labor Child” at the biennale last week. The exhibition of the biennale will be held with the theme of “Creative for Human Rights” from September 27 to 29. 
 
Jouri Toreev from Belarus, Fallindesign Studio from Russia, Aria Czuban, Paulina Kosma and Roslan Szaybo from Poland also received honorable mentions during the event.
 
A total of 129 artists from 17 countries including Belgium, Iran, China, Germany, Greece, Slovakia, the U.S. and Turkey participated at the event.
 
The selected posters will be published in a catalogue by the biennale and an exhibition of the winning artworks is planned for late September and early October 2012.
