TEHRAN -- A collection of photos by the U.S.-based Iranian artist Mohammadreza Mirzaii is currently on display at the Bienne Festival of Photography in Switzerland.
Entitled “The Encounter”, the collection is comprised of 19 photos.
Works by photographers from other countries have also been showcased at the festival, which runs until September 30 at the Ecole d’Arts Visuels in Bienne.
The theme of the festival is “see and be seen” which “explores photography’s ambivalent dialogue with the voyeuristic and exhibitionist gaze,” organizers said on the website of the festival.
Mirzaei’s photos have been featured in multiple solo and group exhibitions at Dubai’s The Empty Quarter Gallery, London’s Mall Galleries and Silk Road Gallery in Tehran, among other galleries.
