TEHRAN -- Iranian cameraman Turaj Aslani will be competing in Plus Camerimage, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, organizers announced last week.

He will be contending for a Golden Frog at the Main Competition section with the Iranian film “Hatred” directed by Reza Dormishian and “Rhino Season”, a Turkish-Iraqi production that was directed by Iranian director Bahman Qobadi.

Twelve other cinematographers are also on the lineup for this section of the festival, which will be held in Bydgoszcz, Poland from November 24 to December 1.

He will also contend for another prize in the Debuts Competitions section, in which eight other cameramen will compete.

“Hatred”, which was shot in Turkey, is about the life of an Iranian couple, Jaleh and Hamed, after their immigration.

Baran Kowsari, Babak Hamidian and Mehran Ahmadi are the main members of the cast for the movie.

Plus Camerimage is the greatest and most recognized festival dedicated to the art of cinematography.

The Iranian cameraman Mahmud Kalari won a Silver Frog at the 2011 Plus Camerimage. He received the award for the acclaimed Iranian film “A Separation”.
