TEHRAN -- The Iranian Artists Forum will host an exhibition of posters created by a number of international designers for “Project Sunshine for Japan” next week.
The project was initiated by the Dortmund-based Iranian scholar and creative artist Mansureh Rahnama in March 2011, immediately after the severe earthquake, tsunami and the devastating nuclear accident occurred in Japan.
In a world-wide call, she asked designers to submit their own drafts under the slogan “Sunshine for Japan - your colors can brighten up the land of the rising sun again.”
The entries have previously been showcased at exhibitions in Dortmund, Bochum and Tokyo over the past months.
A total of 100 posters will be put on display at Tehran’s exhibit from April 16 to 25.
Ali Afsarpur from Iran, Keijyu Aizawa from Japan, Alekh Ajayaghosh from India, Jens Anlauf Miura from Germany, Orhan Ardahanli from Turkey, Remo Caminada from Switzerland, and Andrea Castelletti from Italy are among the artists whose works will be displayed during the exhibition.
