Iranian film to compete in Czech festival

TEHRAN -- The Iranian film “Bardou” will go on screen at the 53rd Zlin International Film Festival for Children and Youths in the Czech Republic.
 
Directed by Hadi Mohaqqeq, “Bardou” will be shown in the Panorama section of the festival, which is being held in the city of Zlin from May 27 to June 1.
 
The film is about Bardou, a 16-year-old teenager who has recently lost his father. He lives in arid lands along with his ill mother and his younger brother. 
 
He has to become a man in order to deal with difficulties and get what is rightfully his.
 
The festival is one of the largest and oldest festivals of its kind in the world. The structure of the festival’s program is centered first and foremost on the target group of children and youths.
