Dubai gallery to display works by Iranian calligraphers

TEHRAN -- Works by Iranian calligraphers Maryam Gholami and Mohammadreza Honarvar, and a team of Arab calligraphers will be put on display in an exhibition, which will open at Ara Gallery in Dubai on June 4.
 
Entitled “A Verse Imprinted, Islamic Arts”, a selection of calligraphic works inspired by the Holy Quran, and hadiths by Prophet Muhammad (S) will be showcased in the exhibit, the gallery announced on its website.
 
Abdul Razzaq Mahmoud, Eman Al Bastaki, Fatma Al Bagali, Majid Al Yousef, Mohammed Allan, Mowafaq Basal, and Musab Al Douri are among the Arab artists whose works have been selected for the show.
 
The exhibit, which will run until August 31, has been arranged in collaboration with the Dubai Arabic Calligraphy Center and Sheikh Majid Bin Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
