The ceremony was organized by the Embassy of Iran in the city.
A number of Indian officials delivered speeches at the ceremony, which was attended by groups of local people.
The Islamic Center of England in London hosted a conference on Imam Khomeini on Sunday.
Imam Khomeini’s influence on the politics of the 21st century was scrutinized during the conference.
