The meeting was part of a program arranged by the organizers of the 30th International Quran Competition, which came to an end in Tehran on Friday.

In a short address, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that any voice which encourages the Islamic world to unite is a divine voice, and any language which promotes division in the Islamic ummah is a word of Satan.

He also said that if the Quran dominates a society, there will be happiness, adding that the Quran opens the path to a happy life and spiritual happiness.

Reciters and memorizers from over 70 countries participated in this year’s competition.

Sheikh Anwar Shahat Anwar and Sheikh Yahya Raghib Sharkawi, two famous Quran reciters from Egypt, were the guests of honor this year and recited the Quran during the weeklong event.
