TEHRAN -- An Indian company has purchased the rights to make a film based on the storyline of the Iranian movie “Ceasefire” written and directed by Tahmineh Milani.

“I had a meeting with an Indian filmmaker who expressed his willingness to work on a film with the central theme of the inner child, the main focus of ‘Ceasefire’”, Milani told the Persian service of ISNA on Sunday.

She added that an Indian company has acquired the rights to make the film that will be shot in India.

No names were mentioned for the Indian filmmaker and company.

Milani made “Ceasefire” in 2006 based on “Recovery of Your Inner Child” by Lucia Capacchione.

The movie shows a young couple who are seeking a divorce, but end up realizing that they just need to face their inner child to overcome their problems.

In addition, Milani said that a similar contract may be signed for “Superstar”, her drama on the private life of a movies star.

“Payback”, “Superstar” “Ceasefire”, “Fifth Reaction”, “Two Women” and “Extra Wife” are among Milani’s credits.
