| Iranian films to compete in Zanzibar festival |

TEHRAN – Several Iranian films will go on screen in the official section of the 16th Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), which will be running in the Tanzanian city from June 29 to July 7.
“More Than Two Hours” directed by Ali Asghari, “Burning Nests” by Shahram Maslakhi, “Golchehreh” Vahid Musaian, “Shirin Was a Canary” by Davud Towhid, “Someone Wanna Talk to You” by Manuchehr Hadi and “Dragonfly’s Pond” by Mohammadreza Arab are the Iranian entries to the competition section of the festival, organizers have announced on the festival website.
A total of 80 films from different countries including Germany, Morocco, Iraq, Lebanon and Belgium are scheduled to be screened in four different categories.
ZIFF is East Africa’s largest film, music and arts festival, bringing new talents together from all over the world.
Moreover, Iran’s Visual Media Institute in collaboration with organizers of the festival has arranged an Iranian Film Week which will be running from June 30 to July 6.
The films “Here without Me” by Bahram Tavakkoli, “Mr. Yusef” by Ali Rafiei, “I Feel Sleepy” by Reza Attaran, and “Adam’s Son, Eve’s Daughter” by Rambod Javan are among the movies to go on screen in seven villages.
