| Foreign jury members of Muhammad (S) logotype festival appointed |

TEHRAN – Graphic designers Wissam Shawkat from Iraq and Sadik Karamustafa from Turkey have joined the jury of the first international festival for the creation of a logotype representing Prophet Muhammad (S).
Shawkat and Karamustafa along with the Iranian graphic designers and artists Sedaqat Jabbari, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Jalil Rasuli and Masud Nejabati will be selecting the final top works, Tehran Municipality’s Beautification Organization said in a press release on Wednesday.
The festival has been organized by Nur-e Taban, an Iranian film company which is the producer of director Majid Majidi’s blockbuster “Muhammad (S)”, and Tehran Municipality’s Beautification Organization.
Majidi has been appointed the director of the festival and graphic designer Ebrahim Haqiqi is the secretary of the event.
Interested Iranian and foreign graphic artists are asked to design the phrase “Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah” in Persian, Arabic or English letters in different calligraphic, iconic, typographic, or handwritten forms.
The works should be submitted to the secretariat of the festival before September 6.
The top winner will receive an award of $5,000 in cash, while the second will have $4000, and the third $3000.
