He will costar with Kristen Stewart in “Camp X-Ray”, which will be Peter Sattler’s directorial debut, The Wrap reported last week.
Stewart will play the role of a young soldier, who is sent to Guantanamo, where she faces abuse from the men in her charge. She strikes up an unlikely friendship with a prisoner (Moaadi).
Plans are to begin shooting the film in July.
Moaadi will also star in Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya’s action adventure “The Last Knights”, which is in the postproduction stage.
He will portray a corrupt emperor in the movie, which centers on a band of warriors who seek to avenge the loss of their master at the hands of the monarch.
Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen will also star in the English-language film, which will be shot in the Czech Republic.
