| Tehran festival features programs on Venezuelan culture |

TEHRAN – A festival featuring a variety of programs on Venezuelan culture opened at the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) in Tehran on Sunday.
An orchestra composed of Iranian and Venezuelan musicians is scheduled to perform a concert during the festival, IAF Director Majid Sarsangi said during a press conference on Saturday.
Venezuelan Ambassador Amenhotep Zambrano also attended the conference.
The Venezuelan musicians will be playing special instruments from their own country durng the concert, which will be conducted by Iranian musician Peyman Soltani, Zambrano said.
Exhibitions of photos and cuisines, and film screenings have also been arranged for the festival.
Sarsangi also talked about the recent Spanish translation of the Shahnameh, the epic masterpiece of the Persian poet Ferdowsi by translator Beatriz De Salas, which went on display at the Venezuela pavilion during the 26th Tehran International Book Fair in May.
He added that the book will help open a new window to the world and introduce Persian masterpieces to the Spanish-speaking nation.
The festival will run until Friday at the forum located on Musavi St., Taleqani Ave.
