TEHRAN -- The 21st International Holy Quran Exhibition will be starting at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla this coming Friday.

The exhibition will begin a few days before the holy month of Ramadan, which runs until August 4, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini said in a press conference on Tuesday.

“Several works inspired by the Holy Quran will go on display during the showcase, which is one of the most important Quran exhibitions in the World of Islam,” he said.

The exhibit does not address Quran scholars and reciters but it is for all people to attend the event, he added.

This edition of the festival aims to promote the Quranic way of life, the director of the exhibition Hojjatoleslam Hamid Mohammadi said during the conference.

This year’s exhibit has been organized in over 40 sections, several of which are new.

A number of Quranic periodicals, which are being published in the country will be put on display in a new section.

In addition, groups of clerics and experts on Quranic issues have been assigned to hold discussions and also to provide consultations for visitors during the month-long event.

A new section, which has been organized in collaboration with the Sports and Youth Ministry, will highlight the Quran’s viewpoints on sports.
