Iranian ensemble to perform concert in Konya today

TEHRAN -- Hannaneh, an Iranian traditional music ensemble, is scheduled to perform a concert today in the Turkish city of Konya, where the tomb of Persian mystic and poet Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi (1207-1273) is located.
 
The concert consists of two sections, the first of which is dedicated to tanbur (tambura) performances, the leader of the ensemble, Kamran Hemmatpur, told the Persian service of ISNA on Tuesday.
 
Iranian folkloric compositions from the Iranian regions of Khorasan, Kordestan, Lorestan, and Kermanshah will be played in the second section, he added.
 
The band features Hassan Khodainia on kamancheh, Ahu Irani on oud, Farid Qasemian on tonbak, and Asieh Ahmadi on daf. 
 
Singer Sirus Maleki will also perform with the ensemble during the concert.
