|Iranian films win awards at Chinese festival||
TEHRAN -- Two Iranian films won top awards at the 22nd Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, which was held from September 25 to 29 in Wuhan, China.
The Iranian film “Days of Life” by ParvizSheikhtadi won the Best Foreign Film Award at the festival and the Best Foreign Screenwriter Award went to MarjanAshrafizadeh for the film “Wet Letters”.
“Days of Life” is about a physician couple working on the war front at a field hospital that is surrounded by the Iraqis.
Directed and written by MarjanAshrafizadeh, “Wet Letters” is about a young girl named Razieh who takes care of her elderly mother for years.
Considered to be China’s top film awards event, the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival has the longest history and greatest influence in the country.
There are 219 films nominated for the Golden Rooster Awards this year competing for 18 prizes in the four-day event.
