|Iran’s “Broken Border” wins Silver Aleph at Beirut festival||
TEHRAN – The Iranian short film “Broken Border” has been named the 2nd best documentary at the 13th Beirut International Film Festival.
Director Keyvan Karimi received the Silver Aleph Award at the closing ceremony of the festival on October 10.
“Broken Border”, which is about fuel smuggling on the borders of Iran and Iraq, won the best documentary award at the Filofest, the International Student Film and Video Festival in Slovenia in December 2012.
The Gold Aleph Award of the festival in documentary section went to “Out of Darkness” by Lebanese director
The film is about a woman who is engaged to a man. Her father disapproves of their relationship because the man she is engaged to is blind.
