|Iranian theater troupe to perform plays at Asian festivals||
TEHRAN – Iran’s 27 Aban Theater Troupe will perform two plays at the Harmony-World Puppet Carnival in Bangkok, Thailand and the International Bursa Theatre Festival for Children and Young People in Turkey in 2014.
Street plays “Little Clown” and “My Childish World” will be staged at the Bangkok and Bursa festivals respectively, the director Hamed Zarean told the Persian service of ISNA.
The troupe has previously performed “Little Clown” at several Iranian festivals.
The play is a combination of traditional and modern Iranian drama. “Little Clown” is about the traditional Iranian puppet Mobarak, who decides to turns into a clown but his friends try to put him off.
“My Childish World” was written by Maryam Khaksar Tehrani.
Saeid Sadeqi, Mehdi Davudi, Amir-Hossein Ensafi, Hamid Bandeh-Moradi and Abolfazl Arab are main members of the theater troupe.
