TEHRAN – A Persian translation of “Home” by American novelist Toni Morrison, the recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993, has recently been published in Tehran.

Released by Morvarid Publications, the book has been translated into Persian by Yeganeh Vesali, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Sunday.

Toni Morrison (1931) is the author of several novels including “The Bluest Eye”, “Beloved” (made into a major film), and “Love”. She has received the National Book Critics Circle Award and a Pulitzer Prize, Amazon has written on its website.

“When Frank Money joined the army to escape his too-small world, he left behind his cherished and fragile little sister, Cee. After the war, his shattered life has no purpose until he hears that Cee is in danger,” Amazon writes about the book.

In addition, Vesali is currently working on a translation of “A Mercy” by Morrison to be published later.

“Home” was previously translated into Persian by Michka Sarmadi.
