TEHRAN – The Iranian translator Alireza Keyvaninejad has recently completed the translation into Persian of American author Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Love of the Last Tycoon”.
The novel will be released by the Zavosh Publication.
“The Love of the Last Tycoon” was inspired by the life of film producer Irving Thalberg, upon whom the protagonist Monroe Stahr is based. The story follows Stahr’s rise to power in Hollywood and his conflicts with rival Pat Brady, a character based on studio head Louis B. Mayer.
Scott Fitzgerald (1896–1940) was an American author of novels and short stories, whose works are the paradigmatic writings of the Jazz Age, a term he coined.
