TEHRAN – A Dutch quartet led by pianist Wolfert Brederode will be giving a concert during the 29th Fajr International Music Festival, which will be held in Tehran from February 13 to 20.
Clarinetist Claudio Puntin, bassist Mats Eilertsen and drummer Samuel Rohrer will accompany Brederode in the performance, which is scheduled to be held at the Eyvan-e Shams Hall on February 13, the organizers announced on Sunday.
Brederode earned his master’s degree in both classical and jazz piano at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
His refined and focused touch, his concern for the musical flow under any circumstances and his creativity are the hallmarks of his playing and he is being recognized as a highly personal and poetic voice in today’s jazz scene.
