|Iran, Japan discuss holding joint art exhibits||
TEHRAN – The Japanese ambassador to Tehran Koji Haneda and Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art Director Ehsan Aqaii discussed holding joint exhibits during a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday.
Koji Haneda accompanied by Genki Fujii, the Head of the Cultural and Information Center of the Embassy of Japan, visited the museum and held talks with Ehsan Aqaii, the Public Relations Office of the museum reported on Wednesday.
Aqaii stated that the museum would warmly welcome and study any joint exhibits if the ambassador has any new programs.
He expressed hope that a Japanese exhibition of art will be organized in Tehran and an exhibition of Persian art in Tokyo in the near future.
Aqaii also said that the cinematheque of the museum is ready to screen Japanese classic and modern movies.
Koji Haneda emphasized the need to boost relations in the spheres of art and culture during talks with Aqaii.
He said that holding an exhibition of Japanese contemporary art in the museum is among future plans.
He expressed hope to develop more art and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
