Russian pianist to perform at Fajr festival

TEHRAN -- The Russian pianist Alexey Sergunin will perform recitals during the 29th Fajr International Music Festival.

His performances are scheduled to be held at the Eyvane Shams Hall on February 16 and 17.

He will also perform pieces composed by Iranian musicians Alireza Mashayekhi and Hamidreza Ardalan.

Sonata-Fantasie by the Russian composer Felix Blumenfeld, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 28 and Piano Sonata in G major, D. 894 by Schubert will be also performed by Sergunin.

Several international musicians including Dutch pianist Wolfert Brederode have been invited to the festival this year.

The hall is located on Kordestan Highway at the intersection with Jalal Al-e Ahmad Highway, at Golha Square.

The 29th Fajr International Music Festival will be held in Tehran and in the capital of a number of Iranian provinces from February 13 to 20.
