|Iranian theaters to entertain filmgoers with five new movies during Noruz||
“The Ascendants”, war drama directed by Masud Dehnamaki, and “Che”, Ebrahaim Hatamikia’s drama on Iranian war hero Mostafa Chamran are among the films.
In addition, Kamal Tabrizi’s comedy drama “Sensitive Floor”, Mostafa Kiaii’s social thriller “Exclusive Lane”, and Nasser Zamiri’s family drama “With Others” will also be screened at the theaters.
“I hope the coming year will be fruitful for Iranian cinema,” Iran Cinema Organization Hojjatollah Ayyubi said during a ceremony held by the organization on Monday to introduce the movies.
“A number of prominent Iranian directors have presented noteworthy movies this year and we can proudly invite Iranian filmgoers to watch the productions the in coming year,” he added.
He strongly advised filmgoers to see “Che”.
This film received accolades at the 32nd Fajr International Film Festival, which was held in Tehran in February.
The film brought Hatamikia the best director award and its star Babak Hamidian the best supporting actor prize.
“Exclusive Lane”, which is about a hacker group that gets into trouble after it empties an account of a tycoon, ranked the second best people’s choice at the Fajr festival.
