TEHRAN – A number of young artists aged 6 to 17 have teamed up to showcase their paintings in a two-day exhibition in Tehran to raise funds for children suffering from cancer.

A selection of 57 paintings by 57 students, under the supervision of their teacher, Tara Behbahani, will go on display in the exhibit entitled Journey across the Land, which will open on April 17 at the Mahak Charity Society.

The young artists have depicted their wishes and what they would like to see in their imaginary journeys to distant places, Behbahani told the Persian service of MNA on Monday.

Tara, daughter of prominent sculptor Taha Behbahani, also voiced an objection to the public sectors, expressing her regrets that no official has visited the exhibit being held annually over the past seven years.

Mahak, the organizer of the event, is an organization that offers services in the areas of welfare, medical treatment and research for the benefit of children who are suffering from cancer.

The Mahak Charity Organization is located on Mahak Blvd., off Shahid Majdi Blvd. and Artesh Highway, in the Aqdasieh District.
