|Iran, Turkey discuss expansion of cultural ties||
TEHRAN – The expansion of relations in cultural fields and cinematic affairs between Iran and Turkey was discussed during a meeting in Tehran.
Turkish Ambassador Umit Yardim and Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Ali Monfared also talked about a draft for a memorandum of understanding at the meeting, the Culture Ministry announced in a press release on Sunday.
Due to cultural and historical affinities between Iran and Turkey, the Iranian government is keen to boost cultural relations with the country, Monfared said.
Yardim also said that his country is ready to expand cultural collaborations with Iran.
