Iran’s plan to establish the cine-club is based on an agreement, which was recently signed between the Iran Cinema Organization and the Sorbonne University of Paris at Cannes Film Festival, director of international department of the Iran Cinema Organization announced in a press release on Saturday.
Based on the agreement, the organization will submit movies with French subtitles for screening at the cine-club, said Arash Amini, who visited Cannes to promote Iranian films last week.
The university will cover the cost of advertising for the films inside the university and will invite one of the cast or crew members to attend the film review session each time.
For one year, one film will be selected to go on screen twice a month.
